My Stew Mac buffer seems to have a warble on one side. The left bearing has a knock making that wheel less than smooth to use. The right side is tight and works fine. It looks like there is an adjustment collar of some sort on the inside of the arbor, allen head screw etc. But I haven't had a chance to take it apart yet. Anyone have any similar issues? Or a fix idea. Louis |

Louis, is this a new buffer? I found that I had to have the nuts on the right and the left side spaced the same number of threads from the end to ensure it spun in balance; I didn't have any problem with the bearings. |

Read where I explained how to balance the buffs, also. About a month ago, so it should still be on the board. |

Thanks for all the info. I'll have a closer look at it this weekend. Louis |

I've beefed up my stand, which helped a lot, and I'm working on balancing the wheels using Mario's guidelines. She's been in and out; when she's out she wobbles like crazy. It's been easier to tell when the balance is off. When it's close I keep thinking I can make it better and then I make it worse. I’m going to keep at it until she's right on. Thanks for the help all. Cheers, Louis |
